- Actually, I just got a different story when I called Bell Atlantic just now.
- "Anonymous Call Rejection" (misleading name, huh?) is available for 25 cents
- per use. Sound reasonable? Not if you consider how few people will actually
- pay a quarter extra for every local call to a business...

- Great. Now I can keep myself off the mailing lists by paying to use my own
- phone as if it were a pay phone. No wonder the businesses are happy. But,
- sure, *technically* I have the right to privacy as long as I want to increase
- telco profits. So, with Caller-ID, the non-business customer loses both ways.
