- It's a bit different than most shareware, though, because Mustang doesn't
- place any legal requirement on individual, non commercial users, to
- register the product. To quote the documentation, "QMODEM Test-Drive is
- licensed for individual personal use and evaluation for an unlimited time."
- (this is from 4.52) Mustang encourages you to register the product in order
- to receive the latest version and other benefits, but it does not require
- you to do so. That is presumably why some people think Qmodem is public d
- domain - it's not, of course, but shareware on this level is rarely like
- this.
