- On the same subject,
-
- I used winfax two nights ago, and after having some problems receiving
- from a faxback service, (intel), I decided to hit the books.
-
- After typing in AT+FCLASS? (or FCLASS=? cant remember) it read 0,1,2
-
- So I said, lets change WINFAX to treat the BOCA as a class1 instead of
- class2. I changed the win.ini winfax entry, and tried faxing.
-
- It worked, then abruptly stopped. I powered off and on. I wasn't hearing
- a dialtone from the speaker clearly like usual. Then I tried to connect
- to a few services.. No poop. Started beeping like R2D2's long lost
- cousin, and would pass garbage on my COMM screen.
-
- BOCA was cery polite about it, gave me a RMA number, and now I'm back with
- my 2400 baud modem until they replace it.
-
- .. Leave your BOCA as a class2 fax.. trust me
