- # my mistake.

- # but: did the news interface deal with each group as a big mailbox? or
- # what was the process there?
-
- TMail handles as much news as you want to jam into a single
- mailbox, organized or not; if it's all one newsgroup, then TMail
- skips the newsgroup menu and dives straight to the subject menu.
- If there are multiple newsgroups then TMail shows a newsgroup
- menu that lets you descend to the subject menu for each newsgroup,
- or you can [delete|archive|undelete] the whole newsgroup.
-
- So, if the transport software loads one huge file (as I set mine
- up to do under UUPC) then well and good. If there are multiple
- mailboxes for various newsgroups, then you can either catenate
- them (getting beck to the one-big-file) or read them separately;
- TMail is not limited (except slightly by memory) in how many
- files it can have open at once. If the articles are all thrown
- into separate files (a HUGE waste of storage) then you probably
- should catenate them.

- And I should note that I uploaded version 1.16 early this week,
- so the announcement should be coming around (fairly) soon. Any
- other archive sites that want TMail can either arrange mail
- uploads or copy from SIMTEL; I don't have ftp.
