- Give me a break. You don't think Europe and other places
- don't have poor people. I drive 25,000 miles a year, my vehicle
- gets 20 MPG, if gas went from $1.25 to $2 per gallon, it would cost
- me $950 more per year. If you figure the average person drives more
- like 12,000 miles per year & gets 25 MPG, their increase would be
- $360 per year. There is no perfect solution. We can either continue
- pollution, disolution of our communities, and not offer a new source
- of revenue for the government. Furthemore, I have zero sympathy for
- anyone still driving a Delta 88, I don't care how poor.

- we will have to pay for having cheap gas for so long, and putting profit
- ahead social well being.
