  19. I don't suppose you can account for the $40 billion or so the 
  20. government currently takes in from the gas tax? If we are being
  21. subsidised, then clearly they must be spending this money on roads
  22. and gasoline-related pollution measures. I wasn't aware the
  23. EPA and highway programs spent that much... I also seem to recall
  24. paying taxes to the government, in greater proportion (judging
  25. from average driving habits) that I benefit from these
  26. "subsidies" (hint: If I'm paying my share of it in taxes, it isn't
  27. a subsidy.)
