  12. I called Avis International to enquire how much a car rental would cost
  13. if I planned to rent from Seattle, Washington and drive to Vancouver,
  14. BC and back.  They informed me that Canada has some law stating that
  15. a Canadian citizen cannot drive an American-owned car in Canada.  Has
  16. anyone ever heard of this?  What is the rational for it?  Is there any
  17. way around it?
