  30. This does not work on my 4.0.  What happens is that when the string saves
  31. the file, it closes the input window and leaves the cursor outside the note.

  33. The following string that I worked out works better for me, but it still
  34. does not do the job I want because although it works the first time it is
  35. invoked, if I continue to work in the window and then try to save when the
  36. annoying beep begins, then the window closes and I am left outside it, as
  37. with J-P's string. Here's my program:

  41. I really don't understand why the thing behaves differently the second
  42. time.  And I'm puzzled, too, by why J-P's program doesn't work for me.

  44. I am pursuing this issue partly because it annoys me and partly because I
  45. know at least one former NB user who switched to a competitor partly because
  46. this particular annoyance was the straw that . . . .
