  17. Using NB4, I have just completed a rather extensive edit of the notes of a
  18. long (80 pp) document. I used the menu option to extract notes into
  19. side-by-side vertical columns (nice touch). The problem is that in trying to
  20. reinsert the notes, I get the unhelpful prompt "error inserting notes." I've
  21. checked the files CHAPTER.NF1 and CHAPTER.FN1, and they appear to be in order.

  23. Has anyone else had a similar experience. Have you been able to get the notes
  24. back in? BTW, the program mercifully retains the original document, so the
  25. only work I may have to redo is the editing of the footnotes (or I may be
  26. forced to manually cut and paste the edited notes into the original document).
