- Welcome to the Mac world. When your system bombs (as it does, and
- does, and does), your Mac rubs your nose into it with a derisive Bomb
- icon.

-
- Well, yes and no. The NB-DCA conversion in NB3 has always seemed a
- little flakey, especially for long files. Your best bet is to use a
- conversion program like Word for Word or Software Bridge, which
- converts XyWrite III+ files (SB even has NB as a menu choice) to MS
- Word and/or RTF format; you can even specify Mac MSWord format, then
- use System 7's Access PC to grab the files off your DOS disk. Word
- will convert them to Mac format when you open them.
-
- If you use Apple File Exchange instead of System 7's Access PC,
- you need to purchase additional Translators/Converters; the basic
- ones in AFE do nasty things to formats it does not recognize.
-
- MS Word 5.1 for Mac ($15 upgrade from 5.0) now includes many features
- formerly available only on the latest Windows version; perhaps more
- file formats is one of those features.
