- Most of the settings that are relevant are in NBCUSTOM.SET,
- (Unannotated Version). See the NB4DEF file that has been distributed
- over this list (and perhaps included in one of the ZIPs at TAUNIVM and
- Simtel mirror sites).
-
- The difference between NB3 and NB4 may actually be in how PL is
- calculated in relation to Form Depth. See the NB3 manual for the
- convoluted calculations which EXCLUDE the Bottom Margin (but not the
- Top Margin) in calculating the number of lines you'll manage with
- variable PL. The online help diagrams for Page Layout give some
- visual guidelines in each version. NB4's QRG pp 82-83 gives some
- further help.
-
- And then, yes, Hewlett Packard LJ's do have minds of their own about
- how close to the edges of the paper (all sides) they will print. Trial
- and error, and then write down what works! You DON'T want to have to
- go through this again next time.
