I see in this dream an issue of self-acceptance.  Something in your day-to-day
life triggered this memory that is probably a focal point of your
feelings surrounding your self-image in those times.  If you look at things
that happened recently before the dream, you'll find something that relates to
those feelings.  It could be meeting someone you like who did not return your
sentiments, it could be something you did that reminds you of what you used
to consider as male-behaviour, it could even be something as innocuous as
being turned down for a job opportunity.  It could be almost anything.
From how you've described yourself I understand you to be very comfortable
and happy with yourself as you are now, I don't see any undercurrents going
on at all.
    I used to analyse my dreams at one time, and what I found was my
dreams were getting more and more complicated and tricky.  I figured out
that what was happening was the mind was just sorting things out and didn't
really need to be understood in detail.  Now I only look at one of my dreams
if it is particularly upsetting or keeps reoccurring.  Your dream doesn't
sound like it was real upsetting but rather just a bit disturbing, your
mind was probably just doing some housekeeping.  Have you been getting your
hugs in lately?
