- Not that I'll never get stuck again, but today I'm feeling unstuck.
- Thanks to those of you who responded when I was "stuck, stuck, stuck".
-
- Something that occurred to me as I read your posts and e-mail is that I
- need to be more aware of my grieving process and set more time aside to
- do that grieving. I find that when I do, I get stuck less often and it
- lasts for a shorter time. A much better situation all around.
-
- Today is a beautiful day in Rochester -- 35 and sunny; an unusual state
- in the Frozen North. I took my older daughter to the orthodontist's to
- have her braces removed. My younger daughter is having a sleep-over with
- four friends to celebrate her 14th birthday (I'm baking the pizza). My
- son and I are working on his Pinewood Derby racer (he's sure he will win
- _this_ year). Deborah and I played Scrabble and went to a movie last
- night.
-
- It also would have been Bonnie's 38th birthday today. That hurts.
- This morning I sat at the foot of my bed and cried as I looked at her
- picture. I remembered the good birthday celebrations we had in years
- past, and I wished we were celebrating together today.
-
- But life is good. Good things continue to happen to me and my life is
- pleasing to me. More and more I remember the good times Bonnie and I had
- and I think of how my life was improved from knowing her. I smile more as
- I think of her and my life is easier than it was a few months ago. There
- will be hard times again -- there are sure to be -- but I'll make it OK.
-
- Thanks again, everyone.
