- I'll try to answer number 2 for you. I found if I want to change a habit, I
- have to associate the old habit with pain and the new habit with pleasure.
- (i.e. Say I want to lose weight, I would probably list all the reasons why it
- is bad for me to be overweight, then, I would give good solid reasons why I
- should change and what benefits I would get out of it. If I don't do this, I
- cannot revert back to my old habit again.)
-
- I believe people can't change bad habits is because they derive some kind of
- pleasure from it (i.e. smoking) even though they know it is bad for them. If
- you can somehow replace pain with this pleasure it would be much easier to
- stick to a new habit.
-
- Read the book AWAKEN THE GIANT WITHIN by Anthony Robbins if you require further
- explanation on this.
