- Thankx for the response to my previous posting. I learnt
- TM (Transcendental Meditation ) from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's
- Organization. I am not qualified and am not supposed to reveal
- the mantra.
-
- I think, Maharishi's organization is teaching here in the
- US (that too in a large scale) also, so you might want to try that.
-
- Some time back I was doing another form of meditation. In
- this method I just had to repeat a God's name continously, like
- Rama, Rama etc., I was told not to restrain or control my mind
- while doing this. If some other thoughts come to my mind, thats
- fine and I was asked to get back only when I realize that. This is
- supposed to release the stresses from the subconscious I guess.
- I was doing with chanting " Hare Krishna Hare Rama ". My basic
- idea was to improve my memory power and concentration. I should say
- it really helped me to do that, though it might look silly for
- a casual observer.
-
- Thankx for your mail,
-
- Regards,

- P.S: Mantra is nothing but a carefully coined meaningless word
- which helps to reach one's subconscious mind. When Westerners
- did a research long time back, they forund that the word "one"
- has similar powers comparable to the Hindu Mantra "Om". I read
- this somewhere. I think it is Dr.M.S.Udayamurthy's work named
- "Thoughts".

- Goodlucks.
