- There is a new independent magazine out called: i/e.
-
- It's dedicated to progressive, electronic, and experimental music on an
- international scale. Two issues are already out, with more forthcoming.
-
- Issue #1: Interviews with Steve Roach & Kit Watkins
- Overviews of record labels: Musea (France) and Erdenklang
- (germany)
- Reviews of Camel, Wir, over 20 others
- Articles on Marillion and Linda Kohanov
-
- Issue #2: Interviews with Djam Karet & Tangerine Dream
- Overviews of record labels Coriolis, Projekt, and Synkronos
- 100 reviews, including Arcane Divine and Xaal
- New columns, readers letters
- Special Report on U.S. Progressive rock
-
- Issue #3: not available yet, but will contain:
- Interviews with Camel and Ozric Tentacles
-
-
- I have no affiliation with i/e; in fact, I've never even read it. This
- info comes from a flier I got in the mail.
-
- If you're interested, it's $16 for 4 issues. The address:
-
- i/e Magazine
- 2300 N. Yucca
- Chandler, AZ 85224 USA
-
- make checks out to Darren Bergstein.
-
-
- I can mail anyone a xerox of the flier, if there's any interest. Other-
- wise, you may be able to get a sample issue for $4 (I don't guarantee
- it).
-
- I'm posting this just because I've seen how difficult it is to get an
- underground publication started. I'm sure a lot of you (like me) have
- been hoping for a news source like this one. Not to be pedantic, but it
- really comes down to a choice: you can keep complaining about the lack
- of attention progressive rock gets, or you can help support a magazine
- that's doing something about it.
