- I've been addicted to 3 compounds in my life (Librium, amphetamines
- and nicotine), and I dropped each one for different reasons when it
- became necessary (money was only one reason). If you don't have
- money, don't take up expensive hobbies.
-
- If they can't stop maybe we should just put them out of their clearly
- miserable existance?

- Peeve: "victimology" Everybody's a victim, and it's not their fault.
- "I'm addicted to drugs 'cause I came from a dysfunctional family" -
- fuck that. A lot of us came from dysfunctional families (I could tell
- stories about leaving home when I was 13, but I digress) but the rest
- of us don't blame our past for what we choose to do now.
-
- I read an op-ed piece that totaled up the officially protected types
- under the ADA and various other civil rights acts, and came up with a
- number on the order of 300%. I think that from now on we should just
- have a list of those that aren't protected and leave it at that.
- Maybe when our govenment grows up we can stop keeping lists of
- protected and unprotected types of people and uniformly protect all
- types.
