- Buster The Basset: 1
- Booter The Human: 0
-
- A colleague brought his basset to work. It is 2 years old. I am 36 years
- old. Buster whined and whined and whined, so I offered to take him for
- a walk. Hah. More like a drag without the sled. I got one end of the leash
- and Buster went off like a shot down the hallway and out the door. We
- ran around the building, through the park next to the building and Buster
- must have said hello to about a dozen other dogs.
-
- I did not know Basset hounds were supposed to be this wired. He must
- have some terrier or HellHound in him.
-
- I found it all amusing and returned the dog to his owner.
-
- Today, I was sitting in a meeting and realized my legs hurt like hell.
- When I got up, I realized that my back was in rotten shape as well. I
- went through the mental attic to try to remember what boxes I lifted
- or, for that matter, what Volkswagen I carried on my back. Then I
- remembered. It was that lively 15 minute sprint all over the boatyards
- of Sausalito and the hearty pull on a leash that only a 60+ pound
- youthful dog can generate.
-
- Back to catland for me.
