- I find your comments intertesting because I have often encountered people
- who think that culture is static. On the contrary, culture is constantly
- in flux and I do not believe that you can attribute a 'loss' of culture in
- your argument. Although, I do agree that the dominent 'white society' has
- played an enormous role in the degredation of Native culture (ie.
- suspension of the potlatch in British Columbia and the mythology
- surrounding the museums) you should not feel guilty by espousing 'white'
- values (whatever they are!).

- I just found your comments to be an interesting springboard for a larger
- discussion. Much of what you said (and obviously the way you feel) would
- be construed as over-generalization, but there is a certain amount of
- validity in your comments and needs to be discussed further.
