- Sillier and sillier. When the word we want isn't in the Tanach, we change
- letters in the Tanach to make it the word we want.
-
- You agree that the word in the original Hebrew, "k'ari," means "like a lion."
- You want to change the Tanach to have a "vav" instead, to make it mean what
- you want it to mean. Isn't this getting a bit silly?
-
- I think that you should look at the tenth commandment. The word as it appears
- in the Torah is "lo tachmod," meaning "do not covet," but the "daled" should
- really be a "raish" (like it is on the wall at Yale), which makes it say "lo
- tachmor," meaning "do not make an ass out of yourself."
