- In a previous article, ogpaik@ugcs.caltech.edu (Paris_Lover) says:

- First of all, I don't see why this is a huge problem with you. Is this
- person qualified to run an IRC server? If she is, so what? The school
- hired her to work there. If she isn't, then maybe you have a legitimate
- complaint. Then again, there are LOTS of IRCops that don't have a clue
- about the system...

- Uh, pardon me, but are you talking about channel ops, or IRCops? If
- she's restricting chops, then there is a problem (at least in my sight).
- if she's restricting IRCops, then I'd give here a pat on the back for
- ignoring your requests for one. Go look up HulkHogan or Trillian, and
- ask them why they won't give you an IRCop. The students shouldn't have
- authority over the server, anyways. Only the people running it have that
- power. Otherwise, you'd have huge amounts of bootleg IRCops running
- around.

- Have any of you heard of, or complained about this sysadmin? This is new
- to me. It seems to me that you're just looking for an IRCop to push
- around. I may be wrong, but this is what it looks like. If she's
- qualified, you don't have an argument. I suggest you live with it.
