  27. Well we are really looking more for a performance fuel so I'll list some
  28. of the advantages to alcohol.  and disadvantages to.

  30. Very high octane rating allows higher compression ratios as 14:1 
  31.  
  32. While containing less power per liter than gasoline it requires a richer
  33.     burn mixture.  The loss in power per gallon is about 15 % but
  34.     with the mixture being twice as much a gasoline you end up with
  35.     about 70 % horse power increase.  However Nitro yields much more
  36.     power than this even.

  38. Alcohol runs cooler than gasoline.  Less wear etc. caused by overheating.

  40. Achohol is a liquid that is much easier to handle and boittle than propane
  41.     or lp gas.

  43. Research has already been done on alcohol.  It is the prefered and soon to 
  44.     become the only legal fuel in Brazil.  Do to polution laws.

  49.     AT/FC and AT/D classes use alcohol to run 1/4 mile times around
