  17. I managed to start an argument about brands of synthetic motor oil on
  18. another mailing list.  In an attempt to salvage some respectability,
  19. I'm looking for comparative facts about the many different brands on
  20. the market.  (The specific hot button was Amsoil vs. Red Line, but
  21. Mobil 1 and other mass-market brands are also of interest.)
  22.  
  23. Are there any FACTS out there about the comparative worth and
  24. properties of these oils?  I'd prefer information that doesn't come
  25. directly from oil vendors, if possible.
