  22. Why not?  Were your credentials bad?  Then all that your case proves
  23. is that credentials don't correlate 100% with success, a well-known
  24. fact.  If your credentials were good, you should have been admitted
  25. without AA.

  27. AA only makes sense under the assumption that being a minority is
  28. positively correlated with success, after controlling for credentials.

  48. students: (i) their "qualifications" might have been the best (as
  49. already pointed out, qualifications correlate less than perfectly with
  50. performance); (ii) the better students might not have been white.
