- Why not? Were your credentials bad? Then all that your case proves
- is that credentials don't correlate 100% with success, a well-known
- fact. If your credentials were good, you should have been admitted
- without AA.

- They were taking places that could have been filled by better
- students: (i) their "qualifications" might have been the best (as
- already pointed out, qualifications correlate less than perfectly with
- performance); (ii) the better students might not have been white.
