  16. I very much agree. I would however be inclined to form two sister
  17. groups.  One to dicuss the hardware issues and another for the
  18. software, such as authoring software, search engines, multimedia
  19. software, mastering software, sgml software, etc. In fact, I would
  20. consider seperating multimedia publishing issues (software) into a
  21. third group, since the software issues here are largely different
  22. from those in full text (database) retrieval engines and the like
  23. used for reference.

  25. I think it worth going through the trouble to make them
  26. comp. groups is worth it. I would name the (3) groups:
  27.         comp.cdrom.pub.hardware
  28.         comp.cdrom.pub.software
  29.         comp.cdrom.pub.multmedia
  30. We could dropthe "ware" at the end of the 1st two group names.
  31. I understand that the original proposal was for a mail-list, I
  32. think this would reach a wider audience.
