- I very much agree. I would however be inclined to form two sister
- groups. One to dicuss the hardware issues and another for the
- software, such as authoring software, search engines, multimedia
- software, mastering software, sgml software, etc. In fact, I would
- consider seperating multimedia publishing issues (software) into a
- third group, since the software issues here are largely different
- from those in full text (database) retrieval engines and the like
- used for reference.

- I think it worth going through the trouble to make them
- comp. groups is worth it. I would name the (3) groups:
- comp.cdrom.pub.hardware
- comp.cdrom.pub.software
- comp.cdrom.pub.multmedia
- We could dropthe "ware" at the end of the 1st two group names.
- I understand that the original proposal was for a mail-list, I
- think this would reach a wider audience.
