- Philip walks into Callahans, and looks from side to side. <<Good>> he
- thinks to himself. <<No one noticed>> He approaches the bar and gets a stern
- look from Mike.
- "You owe, Philip," the Irishman warns.
- "I know, I know. Listen, I'm sorry Mike. This should make up the
- difference..." He pulls out a stack of ones and raises two fingers. "It's all
- there, I promise. And I was a scout ... for a week. It's almost afternoon. What
- the heck. Brandy please." With drink in hand, he advances steadily on the
- chalk line. After draining the glass in a few gulps (it's too early to be sick)

- To working within the system ... <<CRASH>>
- "I've just spent an annoying two weeks getting registered for this coming
- semester's classes, and I am buggered! (Not to mention frustrated). I've
- missed a LOT of birthdays, I fear, and I'm sorry to all those who I temporarily
- forgot.
- "Doug, I wish I could write poetry to match yours (unfortunately mine
- rates on the top ten list along with Vogon poetry or that of the Azgoths of
- Creia, but that's a different story). However, your poems were inspiring.

- that I tried sending you a letter entittled `Advance' Reciprocations, but at
- the time your mailer was acting up and mine wouldn't send the #$@$% message.
- I'm trying to figure out how to resend it to you. I think it has something to
- do with reversing the polarity of the neutron flow ...
- "On the other hand, I could always ask one of the Seers of Kell ..." Philip
- would never snicker, but he does laugh merrily for a moment. Come. Everyone.
- Drink with me ..."

- The dawning of understanding in them causes me a certain satisfaction.""Not to
- mention the fact that it's very irritating."
