- I *strongly* disagree. The BBS world is rapidly moving away from doing
- everything online to doing as much as possible offline and automating the
- little that must be done online. It is *much* easier to automate BBS logins if
- there's a standard to the BBS software, because it's possible for someone to
- write an automation routine for the software that will work on all BBSs running
- it, not just one.

- PCBoard may be boring, but it's *very* easy to get your mail and files while
- you're sleeping. I don't call a BBS because it has cute commands; I call it to
- get something done, and the easier it is for me to do that, the more likely it
- is that I'll call.
