- By "that assertion" you say the Catholic Church agrees with, do you
- mean the other poster's premise about sperm/egg being the same as
- embryo, or your not buying that premise. The Catholic Church
- certainly does not teach that the two are the same, but rather that a
- human life begins at conception (when it is no longer a sperm/egg).
