- I wasn't immediately planning a followup, being that many will stray
- along this same path, but a thought crossed my synapse:
-
- Angst is many things to many different people. In many many forms (yawn so far)
-
- I think angst, as seen by a particular population out here, mas much to do with
- an obsession with the flesh, and excretory functions in general. The conflict
- arises from observable clashes between 1) where we stand on the path to sexual/
- pseudo-sexual satisfaction, and 2) where we expect to be.
-
- Now then, I'm not a Freudian imp suggesting that the guy who lost his job and
- wife and friends is actually experiencing SEXUAL frustrations. It's deeper
- than that. But in any case, we can see that some of the younger crowd here
- focus on what mr. duke (for example) might call 'teenie-bopperism'. Then,
- maybe the more "serious" problems and angst of the older crowd may be somehow
- tied to more complex patterns of sexual frustration. Maybe.
-
- Sublimation? Who knows. For now, I'm too busy to think about it. Don't
- assume that I stand by my accusations. I'm not into that.
