  16. Welcome to the twenty-second edition of the Hamfest Info mailing list.  This 
  17. list covers hamfests in North and South Carolina, and is updated as needed, 
  18. usually about once a month.  I have included a few hamfests outside of the 
  19. Carolinas that may be of interest.  If you do not desire to receive this 
  20. information, let me know.  If you know someone reachable by e-mail who would 
  21. like to receive this information, let me know and I will add them to the list.

  37. GREENWOOD SC HAMFEST
  38. The Greenwood Hamfest will be held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on
  39. Saturday, January 16th, 1993 at the Greenwood Civic Center on Highway
  40. 72 East.  This event is sponsored by the Greenwood Amateur Radio Society.

  42. Talk-in is on 147.165/.765 repeater.

  44. Tickets $4 in advance, $5 at the door. Tables are $5.

  56. This is a small-to-medium sized event, all indoors.  Last year they 
  57. reportedly had about 1100 people attend.

  59. RICHMOND VA FROSTFEST
  60. The 16th Annual Richmond Frostfest will be held Sunday, January 17,
  61. 1993 at The Showplace, 3000 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Richmond VA
  62. from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.  This event is sponsored by the Richmond
  63. Amateur Telecommunications Society (RATS).

  65. Talk-in is on the 146.88 and 145.43 repeaters.

  67. Tickets are $5, Flea market tables are $15, electrical hookups for flea 
  68. market tables $5. Send ticket requests with check to:

  71. December 30th.  Any unsold spaces will be available on the day of the
  72. show. Setup will be on Saturday from 12 Noon to 8 PM and Sunday from

  83. This hamfest is a medium-sized event, and all of it is indoors.
  84. This event is well-attended by ham radio and computer dealers.
  85. I have been there several times when it was at the Virginia
  86. Fairgrounds and enjoyed it.

  88. GASTONIA HAMFEST
  89. The first annual Gastonia Hamfest will be held Sunday January 23rd from
  90. 8 AM to 4 PM at the NC National Guard Armory on 2100 Robinwood Road in
  91. Gastonia.  This event is sponsored by the Gastonia Area Amateur Radio Club.

  93. Talk-in will be on the 146.805 and 444.15 repeaters.

  95. Admission will be $4 and includes one tailgate space.  Inside tables are
  96. $7 each plus admission fee.  There will be no preregistration of tickets
  97. or tables.
