  17.   I have just become interested in Ham Radio and I am presently
  18. hard at work studying for my Novice written and 5 WPM code
  19. tests.

  21.   I also have been pondering what kind of HF rig I should start out 
  22. with?  I have been reading and looking in the Ham Rags (73 and CQ) 
  23. and the variety of equipment and models is quite perplexing.  I really 
  24. don't want to spend much more than $700 to set up my "Shack."  What 
  25. kind of rig/shack can I set up for this kind of money?  What kind of used 
  26. rigs are out there?  What brands and models should I stay away from?  
  27. Where can quality used rigs be found?  When are the next local HamFests 
  28. scheduled?
