  23. Mr. Bales is by far one of the better contenders out of the
  24. Creationists who contribute here. He often gets his facts a
  25. little skewered, he often misdirects issues with round-house
  26. "straw-man" punches, and he ignores inconvieniant facts.

  30. Mr. Bales called the ACLU "against Creationism." I am a card-
  31. carrying supporter of the American Civil Liberties Union, and
  32. I took offense: he made a false assertion, and then used that
  33. assertion to back up other assertions. That's a dirty trick,
  34. and ACLU members were not here to defend themselves. The ACLU
  35. is very much the defenders of religious freedoms, and thus
  36. they are defenders of Creationism.

  38. Creationism, being a religion, does not belong in public school.
  39. It is -that- which the ACLU defends when it opposes Creationism
  40. in school and the "equal time" bullshit. For Creationism to be
  41. "taught" in schools is against MY RELIGIOUS FREEDOMS, because
  42. it indoctrinates my children into the Creationist cult against
  43. my will. Small wonder Creationists do not like the ACLU, even
  44. though the ACLU is is actively protecting their rights.
