  25. incident.  The people behind the failed anti-gay initiative
  26. there are offering to take their bigotry on the road in other
  27. states.  If they did "so well" in liberal Oregon, they say, they
  28. can do better in other states.  Their constituency probably has
  29. a considerable overlap with OR's.

  31. Lance maintains that the Christian fundie anti-abortion movement
  32. is not about abortion at all.  He thinks it's about polarizing
  33. people, about mobilizing a political army, about taking
  34. political control of this country.  You've got a gang of
  35. fundamentalist Christians already organized, who have proved
  36. their willingness to break laws for god.  Now put 'em to work on
  37. other aspects of the rabid right Christian agenda!  (Anti-gay
  38. laws?  Anti-contraception laws?  Who knows?)
