- Oh, I see..."you don't do things my way; so you must be insane."
- Who's the one trying to push back towards a flame fest, and away
- from talking to each other as a human being? Bob, I talk to people
- I know and tell them my views on these things, that I don't think
- people should be discriminated against for their sexual orientation.
- I have not seen a viable wording of policies (that would help make
- benefits more equitable) that I would give to my HR department.
- If you want to call me a hypocrite because I do only as much
- as I do and not as much as you want me to do, that is *your* problem.
- If you want to say that I am not sane because I dont do things *your*
- way, THAT is *your* problem. I try my best to practice what
- I preach; if i don't do it well enough to satisfy your idea of
- what I should do, I apologize to you.

- It gives the "converted" a shared pool of information and ideas
- that they can use in more places. Isn;t that what the right
- wing is doing with the results of Col#2? Share what has worked?

- Or the people they work with, which I do. But that isn't good enough
- for you? You're going to sit there and *tell* me how I should act
- out on my convictions? Bah! By all means, offer suggestions that
- you think might be useful. But grant me the freedom to use what
- I see as useful, and do what I think will work; not what *you*
- think I should do.

-
- What you need is a little tact, and the ability to see that you
- can't dictate to others how to act on their convictions. That those
- who don't do things to your satisfaction aren't neccesarily hypocrites
- or insane. Telling people that they are hypocrites because they
- don't act on things 'well' enough for you isn't going to get you many
- allies. And Jess, sorry 'bout the flames to Bob here, but I hope
- you see why...
