  12. Having read the article posted here about tranquilised nipples being used
  13. to rob visitors to Bangkok, I thought I would post a similarly offbeam, 
  14. almost gleeful voodoo tale from the Star, a Ugandan daily newspaper, dated 
  15. 27 August 1992.  I don't live in Uganda (and if I did I almost certainly 
  16. couldn't post to usenet news - but hey I live in Europe and I still can't do 
  17. so directly); this was faxed to a friend of mine.

  19. PROLONGED ERECTION VICTIM HAS DIED

  21. Erizefani Mugoya, the unfortunate man who has been going through untold
  22. agony following an abnormally prolonged erection of his penis for the last
  23. two weeks, has finally passed away after being hospitalised at Kamuli
  24. hospital during the course of his ordeal.
  25. Sources from Kamuli told the Star yesterday that Mugoya, who was last heard
  26. of to be semi-conscious and suspended on drip, by courtesy of his stubbornly
  27. stiff painful organ, died after an episode of two weeks' misery.
  28. Mugoya's death struck at a crucial moment when his relatives were also
  29. reportedly engaged in serious negotiation with one John Mutyabule, the
  30. husband of the wife with whom the deceased fornicated before his genital 
  31. became unbearably stiff.
  32. Mutyabule of Bukholi in Iganga had previously demanded a ransom fee before
  33. he could uncast the charm he had put on Mugoya.  (stuff deleted)  Doctors
  34. are said to have gone ahead and operated on their rare patient.  Sadly Mugoya
  35. never recoverd from the surgery, confirming Mutyabule's threat not to involve
  36. Western medicine in this traditional debacle (sic?).
  37. Mugoya, a lively middle-aged man from Buwenge, 17 miles from Jinja ventured
  38. to Bukholi from where he eloped with Mutyabule's wife...After fraternising on
  39. that fateful night, Mugoya was alarmed when his penis challengingly remained
  40. erect in spite of the man's exhausation.
  41. As matters grew worse, Mugoya was rushed to hospital after his lover had
  42. failed to alleviate the problem with soothing warm water.  He was admitted
  43. at Kamuli where doctors prescribed injection after injection in an attempt
  44. to calm the dangerous-looking organ but to no avail.

  46. The ransom was too much for his relatives...By the time of his operation 
  47. Mugoya had lost consciousness and he never recovered from the surgery
