- I hope one of our NYC correspondents will have more
- information about this. The Bay Area Reporter ran an item
- about a local TV show in New York that had a debate on the
- pros and cons of the "Children of the Rainbow" curriculum
- that's being implemented in public schools there -- it
- teaches kids that gays and lesbians are people to be
- respected just like any others, and is, therefore, highly
- contoversial. One of the participants, (Roman Catholic)
- Bishop Edward Daily of Brooklyn, made a remark something
- like how-can-you-teach-that-they're-normal-just-look-at-them.
-
- Is it too much to hope that Daily and his egregious boss,
- Cardinal O'Connor, would ever deign to speak with and learn
- from their Episcopalian brother across the Hudson, John
- Spong, Bishop of Newark, who could startle them with some
- new-fangled, 20th Century notions about human sexuality...
