  13. Okay, so I know that Jayne Mansfield used to drink Bourbon and Ginger,  
  14. and that Marilyn Monroe chewed her valiums so they would act faster.

  16. These two little facts give me so much pleasure. I ALways chew my valium,
  17. and when I do, I think of Marilyn.  And whenever it's just the right kind of 
  18. cocktail hour on a sunday, and I can't think what to drink, my whole soul 
  19. fairly lights up when I remember that I can be just like Jayne and 
  20. have a nice Bourbon and Ginger. And when I taste that first sip and think
  21. of Jayne, it's as if I'm taking my shoes off by the fireplace in a Swiss
  22. chalet. I get a warm, flannel-wintry flush that goes up and down my spine.

  24. So are there any other things like this I need to know?

  26. I don't care what kind of scotch John Wayne drank or where Keith Richards 
  27. gets his heroin from.

  29. I'm after those comforting, glamorous, and yes, girlie things that will 
  30. make me feel like I'm wearing a mink coat lent to me by Liz Taylor, just
  31. because she thought it would look good on me, and because, well, I'm 
  32. SUCH a good friend.
