  16. Which is not an argument against taking steps to ensure that the space feels
  17. safer than not.  Think of it like a "neighborhood watch"; arguably one does
  18. not have the *right* to safe streets (at least this is the case de facto, if
  19. not de jure), but one can fight to make them safe, and it is this effort and
  20. determination which helps ensure it.  If Cramer and others want to pollute
  21. this newsgroup, as is their "right", that does not mean that anyone here
  22. has to accept this intrusion as normative; let them respond by exercising
  23. their own "rights" in return.
