- Last weekend I went to see the "Holiday Survival Game Show" a Christmas
- tradition in lesbigay Seattle. To choose the contestants for the
- "Family Values Show" a short Newlywedish sort of game in the middle,
- all of the couples in the audience were asked to stand. (I looked, every
- couple at my showing was gay.)
-
- Then they had only the ones who'd been together
- more than a year stand, then two years, then 5.... They finally ended up
- with a lesbian couple 14+years and aa gay male couple 12+ years together,
- but the fun was in seeing all the couples who had made it multiple years
- together. There was spontaneous applause when there were still 6 couples
- standing at the 10 year point.
-
- One of the nicest parts of a wonderful theatre experience (those who have
- seen it will understand why I couldn't quite call it a play...)
