- Well, I live in Pullman and only get to Spokane a few times a year, so I'm
- not very knowledgeable about the nightlife. Frankly, if I'm gonna travel that
- far for entertainment I generally go to Coeur d'Alene; it's about the same
- distance and far more surreal. But Spokane had its first ever pride march
- this past summer, so it must have a gay community of some sort. If I remember
- correctly, it was covered favorably in the media, and the police were
- helpful and supportive. And, of course, a large cross section of the
- viewing public was just *scandalized*.
