  14. Murray and I marked our 15th anniversary on November 17.  ('Marked'
  15. rather than celebrated as I was in the clutch of excruciating
  16. back pain that week.)  Included are the four years when I was
  17. working in NC and New York / New Jerssey
  18. and he in Madison, WI, during that time we only got together on
  19. holidays and summer vacations.

  21. It is a little surprising how well this has worked, after all we
  22. are so very much different.  I am Asian and he is a round-eye.
  23. I am a techno-geek and he is more a man of letter.  I am 'spontaneous'
  24. and he is verrrrrry methodical.  I am a bleeding-heart liberal and he
  25. is a **GASP** Republican.  Oh yeah, to tie in with the ageism thread,
  26. I am 45 and he is 62.  (Corollary: I work like a dog and he is
  27. reeetired. *SIGH*)

  29. Hmm, that looks like a list of big odds against us.  I guess our
  30. being both of the same sex has really helped.
