  13. Anyone in California familiar with the present status of the "Coalition for 
  14. Family Equity"'s attempt to rig the legal system to automatically give women 
  15. the children and men indenturement in case of divorce?

  17. The coalition claimed to represent 50000 professional women (which I doubt) 
  18. and feminists (? are there this many "feminazis" in CA?), and attempted to 
  19. revise California's no-fault divorce laws by creating 2 new categories, the "
  20. primary caretaker" (mother) and "secondary caretaker" (father). The primary 
  21. caretaker, the mother unless the father can _prove_ otherwise, automatically 
  22. gets the children, reducing the stress of divorce for women. Because men 
  23. know in advance they'll lose, this is supposed to reduce litigation....?
  24. The group also wants to eliminate the "friendly parent" rules, which are 
  25. disincintives for vindicative parents using kids to get back at each other.
