  37. Ok, I decided to get in on this one.  You are both right (all right??)
  38. Piglet and Kay are correct...(much nicer construction...)
  39. I looked it up, mainly because as a former member of the print media, 
  40. I wanted an answer.  Well, according to Webster's 9th COllegiate Dict.
  41. (the only one I have in the office) media is singular and medias plural,
  42. although (and I'm paraphrasing here) the word media has been used as a
  43. mass noun (collective) construed as a singular, such as the news media.
  44. however..."this use is not as well established as the mass-noun use of 
  45. data and is likely to incur criticism esp. in writing."  So, you are
  46. both correct to a degree.  
  47. An interesting word is media, since it was a plural to begin with 
  48. (from the singular medium.)  I love Latin....
