- On what ballot in what election did this appear? I have voted in every
- King County election for the last <mumble> years and my right to
- exercise my vote on this matter was *SO* cleverly hidden that I missed
- it. Can somebody tell me when I should have been more attentive so I
- could cast my vote on this?
-
- What? You mean a bunch of self-righteous pinch-mouthed bureaucrats
- imposed this without putting it to a vote? Somebody get a rope! Or at
- least a bucket of tar and some feathers!
-
- What does government do for you? Whatever it can get away with!
-
- What we really need are laws with which it is possible make it
- personally VERY expensive for the assholes who enact such crap.
- Entangling them in legal proceedings only enables them now to tap the
- bottomless pit of taxpayer funds to defend themselves. I mean make it
- *PERSONALLY* very expensive for them. Maybe put a substantial amount
- of grief into their lives. This might make them less willing to impose
- it on others.

- Brittanius (shocked): Caesar, this is not proper.
- Theodotus (outraged): How?
- Caesar (recovering his self possession): Pardon him, Theodotus: He is
- a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and islands are
- the laws of nature.
