- I'd argue that littering in a city and along highways should be protected as
- free speech, like flag burning. Compared with all of the other ecological
- damage that goes into making a big city full of people, littering is minor
- league stuff. The fact that it so righteously annoys some people is a bonus.

- It certainly is visible, though. Personally I think the brightly colored
- paper scraps and beerbottles are pretty. At least they're prettier than gray
- oilstained streets and (sub)urban housing pods and monster shopping malls full
- of stuff I don't want.
