  26. I have to agree that the Video Toaster is not meant for VR. At least
  27. not directly.  However for those who don't know already, Virtuality,
  28. the creators of the first public VR "game" "Dactyl Nightmare" runs on
  29. a custom Amiga setup.  This is pre-AGA as well so future Virtuality
  30. games should be even more impressive if they use the newest chipset.

  32. I think that the IBM is good for VR as well, so is the Mac, and even a
  33. Cray! ;-) The argument is moot and only comes down to $$, experience,
  34. and what platform you prefer. Me?  Gee, I think those Amiga chipset
  35. are *soo* cool!

  39. BTW, *ALOT* of the prices I've been reading for the Amiga are off by a
  40. few $$.  Here's the current prices:

  42. A3000 = $1499 w/software
  43. A4000 = $2695 ( ? )
  44. A1200 = $599 list = $500-$550 retail
  45. A600 = don't get this
  46. A500 = discontinued
