  16. Actually, it was a race to Mars.  It didn't come about; the organizers
  17. flubbed the job of fundraising pretty spectacularly.  It's been revived
  18. as a race to the Moon under somewhat different ground rules.  Timing
  19. and funding is still rather indefinite, last I heard.
