- Although I dropped the message long ago, I'd like to thank whoever
- recommended the book "Labyrinth of Night" by Allen Steele early
- on in the face-on-Mars thread. I just started it and am having a lot
- of fun. I highly recommend it to any hard core SF reader who has
- retained the ability to suspend disbelief enough still to enjoy
- classic Heinlein stories of native species on Mars and Venus.
-
- One particular quotation from the U.S.'s soon to be earstwhile
- vice president make the book worth reading anyway:
-
-
- "Mars is in essentially the same orbit. Mars is somewhat the same
- distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen
- pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If
- there is water, that means there is oxygen. If there is
- oxygen, that means we can breathe."

- Compliments of the season,
