- I have been told by friends who should know, that if I get called for
- petit jury duty, I probably wouldn't get selected for a jury because
- I'm an engineer. (The prosecution and defense both get to reject a
- certain number of prospective jurors without cause.) Supposedly,
- trial lawyers don't like presenting cases to people with technical or
- scientific backgrounds because they are too likely to decide the case
- based on the evidence. Can't have that, can we.
