  22. I have been told by friends who should know, that if I get called for
  23. petit jury duty, I probably wouldn't get selected for a jury because
  24. I'm an engineer.  (The prosecution and defense both get to reject a
  25. certain number of prospective jurors without cause.)  Supposedly,
  26. trial lawyers don't like presenting cases to people with technical or
  27. scientific backgrounds because they are too likely to decide the case
  28. based on the evidence.  Can't have that, can we.
