- Re the recent controversy about gravitational radiation here: I suggest
- that people take a look at what Hans Buchdahl had to say in Seventeen
- Simple lectures on GR theory. [John Wiley, 1982]. It may be that his
- remarks have been superseded since then, but the sceptical tone should be
- noted by those who claim that the subject is fully understood.
- By the way, although I disagree with much of what he has to say, I think
- that Buchdahl is a must-read for students of GR. His prose style alone is
- a balm for the mind after the comic-book style of MTW. His comments on
- "gravitational energy" are particularly worthy of note.
